In the frozen soil areas of Northeast China in winter, truck scales can still be used normally through targeted design and technical means, but their reliability is highly dependent on scientific installation technology, cold-resistant material selection and operation and maintenance guarantee measures. Specifically, in the frozen soil environment, it is necessary to focus on solving the two core problems of foundation frost deformation and the impact of extreme low temperature on equipment performance. In terms of foundation treatment, construction in Northeast China must extend the foundation depth below the local frozen soil line, and usually needs to be excavated to 2.5-3 meters to avoid seasonal frost heave. At the same time, drainage channels need to be set up in the shallow foundation pit design to prevent water accumulation from freezing and expanding. For the non-foundation pit solution, it is recommended to use anti-slip steel plates with sand and gravel buffer layers to reduce the damage to the structure caused by freeze-thaw cycles. In terms of equipment cold resistance, the sensor needs to use a wide temperature range of -40℃~70℃. In terms of scale body material, Q345B high-strength steel with hot-dip galvanizing process (coating ≥80μm) can resist salt corrosion in frozen soil areas, and the junction box needs to reach IP68 protection level and have a built-in electric heating module to prevent condensation from causing circuit short circuits.
